Mermaid sponsors will be heralded on the Mermaid plaques, and in the pounding waves of all Mermaid promotion, receiving the gratitude and attention of two-footed beings and the mythological alike.

Local Beaufortonian Billy Keyserling, owner of Coldwell Banker Keyserling Real Estate, is the first mermaid sponsor to sign up. "The mermaids are a great complement to our coastal town, and much like the Cows on Vacation, it's a fun way to get kids enthusiatic about public art," he said. "I know the mermaids will bring joy to everyone who sees them."

The mermaids will come to us in waves-- for Fall Art Walk, and then Spring 2007 Art Walk. Please join in the Big Swim: there are 4 levels of mermaid sponsorship, feel free to join together to reach any certain level:

Cowrie- $500
- Your name on a Mermaid's plaque
- Your name associated with mermaid on website and in any print material featuring your mermaid; and
- 2 tickets to the mermaid auction party when your mermaid is sold.

Clam- $1000
- Your name on mermaid’s plaque;
- Your name associated with mermaid on website and in any print material featuring you mermaid;
- Your business website link on the mermaid website;
- Choice of location based upon approval by the Arts Council; and
- 4 tickets to the mermaid auction party when your mermaid is sold.

Conch- $2000
- Your name on mermaid’s plaque;
- Your name associated with mermaid on website and in any print material featuring you mermaid;
- Your business website link on the mermaid website;
- Choice of location based upon approval by the Arts Council;
- Choice of Arts Council approved mermaid design;
- Credit of $250 towards one mermaid at one auction; and
- 8 tickets to the mermaid auction party when your mermaid is sold.

Oyster- $5000 and Artist Honorarium
- “Buy a Mermaid Now” and own your mermaid for perpetuity

- If you choose to display in public: Your name on mermaid’s plaque, and associated with mermaid on website and in any print material featuring you mermaid; Your business website link on the mermaid website; and Choice of location based upon approval by the Arts Council;
- 8 tickets to a mermaid auction party
