Mermaid artist seeks military images.

Beaufort, SC is home to MCRD/ERR Parris Island, MCAS Beaufort, and Naval Hospital. Artist Emily Lanza is creating Fidella, a mermaid for the Marine Corp.

The mermaid will be decorated in part by photos of service men and women. Please send photos, or other images, candid or professional, which represent your service history, duty, or experience. Materials will not be returned. Photos are needed by January 2007, in preparation for the unveiling in March 2007.
