Emergency arts summit a success! ACBC provides leadership and organization for the Beaufort Arts Community Second meeting scheduled March 16, 7pm @ ARTworks Three weeks ago the Arts Council of Beaufort County held an Emergency Arts Summit. Over 75 artists, arts organizations and interested individuals attended. Participation is key to getting results. 1. Each person in attendance was given a brief questionnaire. The comments all fell into 9 categories: Economic Issues (funding, costs etc), Administration, Audience Development, Cooperation, Venue, Promotion, Quality of Life, Arts Education, and Incubation. At the meeting we divided the group into 5 interest areas and charged those groups to come back to the whole with 5 big ideas.
